India’s farmers grow food for 1.4 billion people, yet often keep only a fraction of what their harvest finally sells for. Khetly exists to change that — by putting the farmer and the buyer face to face, for free.

Why we exist

Fewer hands between
the field and the plate.

A sack of potatoes can pass through four or five middlemen before it reaches a kitchen. Each one takes a cut, and the person who grew it — who took the risk of the weather, the seed and the loan — is paid last and least.

Khetly is a direct, open marketplace. A farmer lists in three photos, buyers compete in the open, and the money goes straight from buyer to farmer at pickup. We take nothing.

MEng (Hons) · Operations & community building

Santosh Khalkar holds an MEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and has spent his career in operational management, across well-known organisations and leading engineering institutions. He has built and run large communities and networks in India and abroad, and brings that experience of organising people at scale to Khetly’s mission: giving every farmer a fair, free and simple way to sell their harvest and buy what their farm needs.
