Privacy Policy

Khetly (“we”, “us”) runs the Khetly marketplace at khetly.in and in the Khetly mobile apps. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We have written it to be read, not skimmed past.

1. What we collect

  • Account details — your name, email address, mobile number, password (stored only as a secure hash) and, if you sign in with Google, your Google account email and name.
  • Verification (KYC) — for farmers: farm or village, district, state, pincode, farm size, main crops, optionally the last four digits of your Aadhaar number and a photo of an ID document. For vendors: business name, GSTIN, address and business documents. We never ask for your full Aadhaar number.
  • Listings and activity — the photos, descriptions, prices and pickup locations you publish; the offers, bids and deals you make; alerts you set up.
  • Device information — a random install identifier, your platform and app version, and a push-notification token, so we can deliver notifications and understand which versions are in use.

2. How we use it

  • To run the marketplace: show your listings, deliver offers and bids, and create deals.
  • To verify sellers and keep the marketplace safe from fraud and misuse.
  • To send you notifications you asked for — new offers, out-bid alerts, alert matches and verification updates.
  • To improve Khetly, using aggregated statistics that do not identify you.

3. Who sees what

Your listings, your first name and your village, district and state are public. Your phone number is never shown publicly. It is shared only with the other party of a deal you have agreed, so you can arrange the pickup. KYC documents are seen only by our verification team.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Khetly (hosting, SMS and email delivery, push notifications) under contracts that require them to protect it, or when the law requires us to.

4. Payments

Khetly does not process payments. Buyers pay sellers directly at pickup, so we never see your bank, card or UPI details.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. Deal records are kept for up to eight years where Indian tax and commercial law requires it. Verification documents are deleted within 90 days of your account being closed.

6. Your choices and rights

  • You can edit your profile and listings at any time from your account.
  • You can delete your account from the account page. This removes your profile and listings.
  • You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, by writing to privacy@khetly.in.

We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you have a concern we have not resolved, you may contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@khetly.in.

7. Security

Passwords are hashed, connections are encrypted, and access to verification documents is limited to the people who review them. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

8. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
